This is a short, austere but very meaningful ceremony that reminds us that the time has come for the change of guard- the solemn ceremony of handing over of colours. It symbolizes that the outgoing prefects are handing over the responsibility of leadership to the new prefects. The prefects take the oath to uphold the honour of the school at all times and lead by example. As prefects they are expected to inspire hundreds of students to achieve high standards of excellence. It is also the day for presentation of awards to students for different field of activities. The students are acknowledged for their prowess in co-curricular activities and also for the strengths in their character which make them proud Josephytes. Parents and students look forward to this day with a lot of enthusiasm. Those who are unable to make a place for themselves in the long list of prize-winners look forward with determination to be there the following year.
