CAREER GUIDANCE at St. Joseph's College BY STUDENT OUTREACH - A Career Counselling Initiative 

On the 18th of August, St. Joseph's College hosted a Career Guidance Programme conducted by Ajay Sharma, Founder Director, Student Outreach (A Career Counseling Initiative), which brought 13 universities to the school campus. The programme aimed to provide students with valuable insights and guidance to make informed decisions about their future careers. The universities' representatives emphasized the importance of early career planning and guidance for students in grades 11 and 12, highlighting the need to align school subjects with undergraduate degree choices.

They discussed emerging and evolving careers, stressing the importance of multidisciplinary approaches and essential skills like problem-solving, communication, leadership, and critical thinking. The programme also focused on building a strong profile and preparing for undergraduate studies. A highlight of the event was the opportunity for students to meet with representatives from each of the 13 participating universities, gaining personalized insights into specific courses, career paths, and university life. This interaction allowed students to make more informed decisions about their future academic and professional pursuits.
