On 1st November 2025, St. Joseph’s College hosted its much-awaited Dance Competition for students from Kindergarten to Class 5. Each class presented a lively group performance along with four solo dancers, making the event a colorful celebration of rhythm, creativity, and talent.
The performances featured a delightful mix of Hindi, English, classical, and religious songs such as “Shree Ganesha” and “Jesus Loves Me.” The variety of music and dance styles created an atmosphere filled with joy and enthusiasm. The audience was truly mesmerized by the energy, confidence, and charm of the young performers.
The event began with a short prayer led by the teachers in charge, Ms. Shireen Dias and Ms. Priyanka Sardar, setting a graceful and reverent tone for the day. This was followed by a warm and confident introduction delivered by Garv Shah, a student of Class 3A.
The esteemed judges for the competition were Ms. S. Sequeira, a retired teacher of St. Joseph’s College, and Ms. Munira Hararwala, the current Class 6 teacher. They did a commendable job in evaluating the performances and inspired everyone with their kind words and thoughtful reflections.
The Principal graced the occasion, cheering and motivating the young dancers with encouraging remarks. While the participants eagerly awaited the results, the teachers and the principal surprised everyone with a special dance performance on stage. This spontaneous moment of fun and camaraderie had the students cheering and clapping endlessly, making it one of the highlights of the day.
The Coordinator of the Junior Foundation, Ms. Nagpal, announced the winners from her department, while Ms. Manpreet Kaur did the same for the Junior School category. The little winners proudly came up to the stage, shaking hands with the Principal and Judges, and posing for a memorable photograph, their faces beaming with happiness and pride.
Our E-Care representative, Ms. Maya, beautifully covered the entire event — effortlessly capturing each little performer and preserving every joyful moment through her lens. A special word of appreciation also goes to our Supervisor, Mr. Kaushik, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, managing everything from the music arrangements to the comfort of the judges, ensuring the smooth and successful running of the program.
The day was truly a celebration of talent, teamwork, and joy, reflecting the vibrant spirit and unity of St. Joseph’s College.
