St. Joseph’s College, Bowbazar, participated in the Telegraph School Awards for Excellence 2025 on Saturday, 23 August 2025, at South City International School Auditorium. Our school was allotted the second half of the programme (3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.), which witnessed the presence of several reputed schools of Kolkata.

The event commenced with an inspiring address by the dignitaries of the Telegraph Education Foundation, followed by the distribution of certificates of honour, merit, and appreciation. St. Joseph’s College was recognised with the following distinctions:

Certificate of Appreciation for Excellence in Maintenance and Eco-Friendly Initiatives – received by Ms. Shireen Dias on behalf of the school.

Courage Certificate – awarded to Aarav Palit for his remarkable resilience and spirit.

Certificate of Honour for Outstanding Talent – awarded to Ipshito K. Ghosh for his excellence in Debate, MUN, and Quizzing.

The proud recipients, accompanied by teachers and family members, walked up to the stage together with the school’s name being announced. The dignified moment reflected the values of perseverance, talent, and commitment that St. Joseph’s College stands for.

The ceremony concluded with a note of encouragement, highlighting that the winners from this round of honours will proceed for the final awards presentation at Science City Auditorium on 30 August 2025 (10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.).

The participation of our students and recognition received at this prestigious platform has once again brought honour to the institution.
