Description: Despite the morning clouds and a steady drizzle, the spirit of Vanmahotsav shone brighter than ever at St. Joseph’s College, Calcutta, as students, teachers, parents, and guests from neighbouring schools came together for a meaningful Awareness Walk. Organised by the Social Justice Wing of our school with strong support from our Principal, the walk was a vibrant celebration of nature. Despite the inclement weather, the enthusiasm remained undeterred—students held up creative placards, sang eco-songs, and walked with pride, spreading the message of environmental responsibility. After returning to campus, the students participated in a “Gift-a-Sapling” programme, exchanging small plants as green tokens of love and commitment. The event concluded with a heartfelt pledge to protect the planet, reminding us all that true change begins with small, united steps. Vanmahotsav 2025 was a beautiful reminder that when hearts and hands come together, even the rain can’t stop us from walking toward a greener tomorrow. 🌿
